AgroInnovation EDU is a digital education project in agriculture, designed and developed by Image Line with the aim of bringing students closer to the tools that will make them protagonists of the transformations that are leading the agricultural sector to an increasingly sustainable rebirth.
Born in 2017, AgroInnovation EDU is now widespread throughout the Italian territory thanks to various collaborations created with school networks and Public entities.
Students have the opportunity to learn how to use innovative software to better understand how to manage crop operations and how to use digital services to optimize work, make the company more efficient and sustainable, enhance agri-food production.
The initiative also involves teachers, for whom training sessions on digital agriculture are planned through a series of webinars, which allow them to continue their professional updating.
The project in numbers
From the start of the project, 6,184 students and 723 teachers were involved, from 78 agricultural high schools and 20 universities. The training activities involved a total of over 1200 participants, both live and through webinars.
An integral part of the project is also the AgroInnovation Award, established in collaboration with the Accademia dei Georgofili, which annually awards the 10 best Master’s and PhD theses in agriculture.
The winners are also given the opportunity to present their work on AgroNotizie, a specialized online magazine that is read by over 4 million users every year.
Now in its fifth edition, there have been over 330 candidates in previous editions.
