Immersive Now is the brand new immersive content application from Orange! It is an immersive media platform, accessible on mobile and tablet through a mobile app and on Oculus Quest VR headsets. Thanks to our very high speed networks, the experience is accessible from home (fiber) or on the move (5G). Put on your virtual reality headset and be transported in seconds to another universe and discover new type of content in Orange paradise villa.
More than another classical VR media platform, our customers can access to Orange premium contents such as our TV offer (Orange TV), our SVOD platform (OCS), 360° Music & sports live events and many other VR short videos & games. Thanks to 5G connectivity, let yourself be carried away in 8K VR contents even when on the go!
The application will be published on the Oculus store and mobile store (Android & Apple) in June in France for our 24 million mobile customers.
All our 8 Orange European Business Units have demoed in 2020 the solution in Orange’s shops to a large number of visiting customers. This led to a lot of positive feedbacks and helped us to give the best in class service. The goal is to launch for the end of 2021 the Oculus and mobile app on all our European footprint.
Let’s talk about the future: in a desire to offer a complete high-end service for all our client base, our teams have taken on the challenge of holding live events. This year, five concerts captured in 8k VR will be broadcasted live on our mobile application and on the Oculus VR headset. We can already replay the Marina Kaye concert that took place last November and hear the famous song “Homeless” sung just for us. Other projects are currently being developed as live sport events (soccer, bikerace, sailing competitions …).
