Real-time evaluation of polymer properties with NIR analyzers and advanced control technics

Our plants are historically widely equipped with conventional process instrumentation such as temperature and pressure probes, level indicators, etc. Thanks to the R&D activity, NIR analyzers have been recently introduced as new process instruments and now they are progressively being installed in our industrial plants, allowing us to get information that can be related with chemical composition and main properties of output materials. The complete and integrated use of this huge amount of traditional and spectral data, allow, through specific dashboard, real time visualization of the process and the product characteristics. This approach greatly shortens the time for any corrective intervention and prevention of off-spec product. It also highly improves the flexibility and fine-tuning of product properties, thus contributing to enhance a strong customer-oriented approach.
