Roamler successfully applies its crowd-sourcing model to improve efficiency, scalability and sustainability within field marketing, thanks to a community of hundreds of thousands of mobile users.

The Roamler community includes trained shoppers and independent professionals who are enabled to be fully in charge of their time and careers. Thanks to the Roamler platform they get access to paid tasks in their vicinity, which they can select and execute according to their personal preferences, skills and schedule, in order to earn money their own way.

Tasks coming from the main FMCG companies and retail chains across Europe, are available in retail (supermarkets, stores etc.) and indirect channels (restaurants, petrol stations, cinemas etc.) anytime and anywhere. Every task is complemented with detailed instructions and live support from our internal team of reviewers. This way a large pool of individuals and independent professionals can gain direct access to new, diversified opportunities to increase their earnings, while being fully in charge of their work-life balance.

A SUSTAINABLE APPROACH TO BUSINESS

In addition to empowering individuals, the crowd-supported business model proves to add value and sustainability to companies. By complementing or, in some cases, replacing their fixed field-forces with flexible resources activated on-demand, companies can easily scale up and down their operations, extend their footprint according to the real needs of their market, and gain immediate efficiency.

SPEED AND TRANSPARENCY

Deploying a crowd to execute in-store audits and merchandising activities in supermarkets, stores and other outlets, allows companies to get their results up to 70% faster, as the use of mobile technology and a fully transparent process allows to transfer geo-located data and photos almost in real -time.

At the same time, crowd-sourcing rather simple operational tasks, such as reporting on the visibility and availability of specific products or installing promotional displays through a pool of on-demand resources, allows professional field forces to optimise their time in-store and focus on driving growth for their business.

Applying crowd-sourcing to field marketing activities results in a much more sustainable approach to business. Not only companies can make a more targeted use of their resources and budget, stretching their capabilities on demand and responding directly to the actual demands of the market, but most importantly, they can cut the time spent on the road by their field forces and, consequently, CO2 emissions. The Roamler platform matches tasks with professionals and individuals located in the proximity of relevant points of sale across Europe. This negates the need for long commutes for fixed field forces and saves an average of 16KM travelled to reach each point of sale. In 2021, the Roamler community has contributed in helping FMCG companies and retail chains, save 1.108 tons of C02 emissions.
