Dotsub

When I conceived of Dotsub in 2004, it was my 9th startup and I thought my last. It was long before YouTube or smartphone existed - and the goal was to enable video, created in any language, to be easily, quickly & inexpensively made available in any other language, and viewed on any video enabled devise or platform.

Basically, there are 7.5B people in the world who speak 6800 languages, 85% of them not even written, and over 50% of all the knowledge of the world is only available in English, which is spoken natively by only 6% of the planet.

Our mantra is from Nelson Mandela - "If you speak to a man in a language he understands, that speaks to his head. If you speak to him in his native language, that speaks to his heart."

Every brand, company, government, organization, person truly wants to connect with everyone's hearts. We have a globally audacious project that is going to accomplish this across a variety of fields using video and language and Dotsub's platform.
