This is my Boeing 7WM plane design, a showcase of my comparison between successful planes of Boeing’s as well as my innovative and original designs. I looked into different popular Boeing planes and thought about innovating for the future and providing for passengers’ needs. All of my designs and initial processes to build the model were recorded in a journal allocated to my studies and research. It helped me stay on track, motivated, and well organised.
Some of these features included in my design which can be seen in my 3D model are: folding wingtips, to ensure that all airlines could fit the wingspan of the plane into a given space, 400+ seating divided into classes, toilet, massage, bar, cafe, 2 floors to cater for long haul flights so that crew members can take their shifts in relaxation away from passengers. As well as my most successful idea; A large screen tv set up away from passenger seating along with a box filled with Bluetooth headphones whereby children can collect and have a seat in the colorful area where they can watch educational videos about planes and how they fly catering for the next generation of engineers. This also eases entertainment on long-haul flights for children as well as allows parents and carers to relax.
Engineering, aerospace, and aircrafts are constantly elevating and evolving. Many of my designs and features could perhaps be seen in later models of Boeing or other Aerospace manufacturers, as they have impacted the next generation of flight.
