Vection Technologies is a company listed on the ASX. Its subsidiaries include Vection Italy srl and Mindesk, a company absorbed in 2020 with an eponymous product.
Mindesk was born out of Gabriele Sorrento’s intuition about the need for architecture and construction professionals to have an immersive experience when using CAD/BIM. Initially available as a VR/AR plugin for the CAD Rhinoceros, Mindesk then transitioned to a more complete solution not only for AEC professionals, but also for mechanical engineers and industrial manufacturing companies in general. Now Mindesk is a suite of plugins that allow users to visualize and edit projects in Rhinoceros, Revit and Solidworks through VR/AR devices or to live-link them to 3rd party graphic engines, such as Unreal Engine.
For the built and the manufacturing world, Mindesk is a productivity booster: this innovative workflow helps to reduce the time-to-market, prototyping costs, error rates and in general improves the design by having a natural perception of the yet-to-build objects.
The impact on society is huge, companies and professionist can work faster, easier saving time and costs. Mindesk empower collaboration all over the world using multi-user connection for the Mixed Reality experiece. The result of a better collaboration and design process is a better product. From small objects to entire buildings, Mindesk makes more efficient and effective the design to give us a better product and a better place to live.
